In this online phlebotomy technician training program, you will learn about drawing blood from patients, evaluating their ability to withstand the procedure, and helping them feel comfortable. You will understand how to perform basic point-of-care testing, as well as properly preparing blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory testing. This course also covers how to handle and maintain essential medical equipment, including needles, test tubes, and blood vials. To support hands-on learning, after completion of online course work will be provided with a workshop to be completed in person of 30 sticks required by the NHA.
